I don’t think anybody in Ireland has ever spent as many years focusing on continuous coverage of mortgages and financial brokering than me (I stand to be corrected – but remember, I’m mostly a one trick pony, journalists et al often cover a lot more, but in higher level detail). So thought it would be interesting to look at the ‘very first’ blog post I ever wrote. It was all the way back in early 2007, and it just had some basic details about figuring out how much you can borrow. Notice the mention of 100% mortgages in it too! While I had (at the time) said the country was in for a rude awakening on property prices, I had no idea of what was about to unfold. There is a certain innocence to my first posts, they were like a kid experimenting with something, later they became more polished (cynical!).
